Birthday Girl!

Ok so i'm climbing back out of my hole now that all of Kellen's birthday festivities are over. Man what alot of work! But totally worth it. I can't believe my baby girl is already one! I want to go back and start all over. But it is an awesome feeling to see all the things she learns and figures out daily.

Easter 2010

We had Kellen's first Easter this month...

Even though she is more interested in the box we still colored eggs. Good thing we did because as first time parents we def needed a practice run. Totally unaware that you need white vinegar to color eggs.... so we ended up with alot of pink eggs since that was the one color that didn't really need it. Next year we will be pros!

A new adventure....

So last week I decided that I need a hobby... something I can do at home while babies are napping and something that would have a useful outcome. So what did I do... I bought

a new sewing machine!

Despite the fact that i've never sewed a single thing in my life, let alone touched a sewing machine thanks to my beautiful and creative cousin (love you ang) I decided to venture out and set a goal.

So far I've learned that I have some serious practice to do... First thing i've sewed so far is a cute from a far but a mess close up, dish towel. I had good intentions but the sewing skills just aren't quite there yet. So I'll practice ruining a few more dish towels, and then some pillowcases then i'll tackle some towels with this super cute fabric i found at the new store in Paso.... So hopefully i'll keep you all updated on my progress (that is hoping that there is some).

So i had Steve come over to take some pictures of Kellen for our announcements... and she absolutley loved it! What a ham! 

Finally

Introducing Ms. Kellen Ann Sims. Are baby girl arrived May 1, 2009 at 12:07 AM. She weighed 6 pounds and 8 ounces and was 19 and a quarter inches long. After a complicated labor she made it out perfectly healthy and is a complete blessing. Her dad and I have completely fallen in lover with her. She looks just like him! More to come soon!
